Red Link Communications Co. Ltd. (also RedLink Communications) is a private company headquartered in Yangon, Myanmar. It provides WiMAX broadband internet and other intertet and telecommunications services. Its WiMAX coverage includes areas in Yangon and Mandalay [1] Established in 2008, it became the second (after Bagan Cybertech) privately owned Internet service provider in Myanmar.[2]
In December 2010 the company was the first Myanmar ICT/telecom company to get ISO9001:2008 "Quality Management System" certificate, from SGS Myanmar.[3]
The company is co-owned by Toe Naing Mann and Aung Thet Mann (a.k.a. Shwe Mann Ko Ko), sons of the military regime's #3 general Shwe Mann [4][5] Since they are persons related to the government of Myanmar, their activities in the European Union are restricted and their assets are subject to be frozen.[5]
Prepaid internet cards fo access to wireless internet at a number of hotspots were introduced by Red Link in December 2009.[6]
In 2009, the company announced the expected launch internet radio from the portals enjoy.com.mm and enjoy.net.mm.[7]
In September 2010 Red Link was among 6 providers allowed to launch high-speed fiber optics internet services in Yangon. The company introduced the service in Yadanabon in March 2010 and in Mandalay in June 2010.[8][9]
Other services include web hosting, IP solutions, satellite solutions, VoIP, IPTV, domain name services, for individual and corporate customers.[1]
